A Closet Affair

I always enjoy a good show, especially when involving fashion and when the event is to raise funds for a great cause, all the better! I have recently joined a group of fabulous women in the planning of an event entitled 'A Closet Affair', to raise money and most importantly, awareness, for the Alzheimer's Group here in Montreal. These wonderful people provide services to not only those affected by this devastating disease but they also work with the family of those affected.
The event will be a fashion show on a "what not to wear" basis, showing the before and then the after with commentary from fashion experts including Jennifer Cambell! The models are all very real people, known Montrealers, from Dale King to Vince Guzzo! There will be a live auction featuring items from local designers, including trink!, and other special gift packages. And because the event will take place at the Excentris with Méliès, you can expect delicious hors d'oeuvres and liquid treats;)
There will also be a fashion magazine 'Style M' Fab' sent out after the event with editorials from the city's finest, including trends reports straight from Paris (provided by yours truly;), and snapshots from the evening.
So come out for a night to remember in hopes that one day Alzheimer's disease will be just a memory-

Custom Bridal Jewels

This week I have been busy with the custom design orders for three spring weddings! I must say, I do of course love when a future bride walks into the shop and falls in love with something that she sees but designing something new based on someone's dream wedding is always fun! It allows for the bride to add her own personal touches that help to make her special day special;) And the best part is, ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE! Here is a bracelet I just finished for one of the beautiful brides to be...I would show the bridesmaid jewels but I don't want to ruin any surprises!

Straight from paris

Since I was a young girl I dreamed of one day going to Paris. I always imagined Paris to be a magical place where the most fashionable people lived, who wore pretty clothes and spoke fancy french. Well, this past summer I finally made it there to realize that what I had always imagined was exactly true! And last week I decided that I needed to go back! I visited a few hot spots that I missed on the first trip and attended some industry shows that have got me oh so inspired!
Again, I did not go for long but it was enough to quench my thirst for I suppose a little 'je ne sais quoi'... I cannot wait to return!
